I'm not sure about M550. I have to test it to find out. Nevertheless I'd tested 528(F10) before. Guess what? It felt like a boat immediately!?! Maybe that 528 didn't come with M sport suspension, I guess...
All in all I was really surprised how good M5(F10) suspension was!?! I will definitely try one again or maybe rent one in the future...
You can check the below review from C&D. C&D think F10 M5 lacks performance such as handling, steering, brake, etc and prefers E63 and S6. In fact S6 is more comfortable than GSF but GSF handling is much better. So I think F10 M5 is tuned more for comfort. Not sure about new M5(F90)!?! I think F90 should be better than F10 but again not sure about how much better...
So maybe RCF doesn't match M4 handling but my GSF actually is quite good. I'm happy I didn't make a wrong decision... That's why my wife keeps saying my GSF is GGGGGGGGGGGGGGGOOD...
My GSF just slower but a lot cheaper and MUCH MUCH MUCH more reliable... (I also found that slightly used M5 I tested wasn't very fast and its tailpipes were as dirty as diesel cars'!?!)
Surprisingly GS350 F Sport vs 535i comparison review from MT is very similar to GSF vs M5(F10) comparison review by me. (I swear I never read MT's review before )
This day finally arrives!!! My son will completely take over my 2007 G35S (over 190K kms) next week. I will drive my GSF tomorrow. So today is the last day.
Last year my OLD G had NO single problem and this year until now also has NO single issue, either. I wonder why my G has less problem now than 2-3 yeas ago. Maybe that is because I began to use better oil like Royal Purple HPS instead of Mobil 1.
On California highway, I still wonder why every car is so SLOW especially for morning commute. (Here V6, V8, 2.0t, 3.0t, Tesla are very common!!!) Maybe they still feel very sleepy. Of course I didn't race my G's engine. That's why I don't understand why they're so SLOW!?! Maybe my VQ engine really loves cold temperature in the morning...
After having driven both G35S and GSF for about 19 months, I think I cannot drive any cars without good performance dampers from Europe even with performance cars like GSF. So I plan to put Ohlins on my GSF next spring. It's no doubt Ohlins will transform my GSF completely again. The thing I only worry about is how much I have to sacrifice the ride comfort on my GSF. I heard Ohlins could provide more comfortable ride than many other performance dampers. Let's wait and see. Wish me luck!
1. No "翻車感覺" when turning (Compare with 2010 M35X) <-- I told him that's sport cars' feeling. My GSF doesn't have it either... 2. Much faster (Compare with 2010 M35X with only 80k kms, G is over 190K kms) 3. Air conditioning is still ICE COLD!!! 4. The ride with PSS10(F:7, R:4 10 is the stiffest) is OK. No complaint. My PSS10 setting was F:10, R:8!?!
