Very old used M35!!!

When I was around 33, I was driving a 100hp 1992 Civic in Taiwan. At one time, a Primera overtook me on a very narrow and dangerous road. (Oh! Come on! Your car is just 30hp more than my poor old Civic!!!)

Now, I'm driving a 467hp GSF. Guess what... An old Civic tried to overtake my GSF and pushed me to drive nearly 100mph on a local street!!! (Again! Come on! My GSF's HP is THREE TIMES more than your Civic's!!! )

That's why I keep buying a faster car and improving my driving skills...
Believe it or not... My wife still loves her previous car 2010 M35X so much after driving 2017 GSF for at least 3 years!!! (She says... If my daughter is willing to give her previous car back, she will definitely take it!!!)

Unfortunately, Nissan/Infiniti doesn't produce any Q50/Q70 hybrid now. If they do, we will definitely buy one... (We both think Q50/Q70 hybrid has both sporty, refinedness and economy at the same time!!!)

PS: My wife also test drove some new cars recently like 2024 Accord Hybrid, 2025 Acura TLX, etc. In addition, she also drove a rental new M4 Competition for a day about 5 years ago and a rental new IS300 3 years ago.
I still think Infiniti's interior is the best... (It almost looks like a Bentley!!!)

Sorry... I think hybrid is not so good actually...

The MPG of my son's Accord hybrid is 46 mpg city / 41 mpg highway. However, it's a much slower car which is only 204hp!!! (This is not an apple to apple comparison)

The below is better comparison...

LC500 : 16 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 18 combined.
LC500h : 26 in the city, 33 on the highway, and 29 mpg for the average.

My wife and I now are nearly retired old people. So, we don't use cars so often like young people. The yearly mileage should be around 7,500 mile.

LC500 : 7500/18 * 6(gas price) = 2,500
LC500h : 7500/29 * 6(gas price) = 1,551

So, 10 year gas cost difference would be less than 10,000. The hybrid battery replacement cost should be 5,000-10,000. (I expect LC500h's battery should be more expensive than Accord hybrid's)

So, all in all, I will NOT save a lot of money on LC500h. However, driving a LC500 is MUCH more exciting!!! (Now, I realize why American DON'T buy LC500h!!!)

PS: It sounds I should keep my GSF FOREVER!!!

Another big reason why I didn't consider Q50/Q70 hybrid 10 years ago...

That's because they both had VERY SMALL TRUNKS!!! (the hybrid battery took a lot space from the trunk!!!)

However, surprisingly, the trunk size of my son's 2024 Accord hybrid is at least as big as my GSF's if not bigger...
The below is NSX hybrid's MPG which is not very good.
21 city and 22 highway

Actually, on highway my GSF official MPG is 24 which is even better than NSX!!!

I check the gear ratios of both. At 2000rpm, GSF is 80mph and NSX is 70mph. (My daughter M35X is 60mph!!!) So, NSX definitely feels more peppy on highway than my GSF even if both HPs are the same...

PS: That's why my wife still loves M35X. To drive GSF quick, you need to learn how to downshift or change driving mode... Of course, as a result, the MPG of M35X is not so good... (My wife is an old office lady, not a car enthusiast like me. So, learning those driving skills is TOO TROUBLESOME for her, she says... )
I wonder why on highway, LC500's MPG is 24 which is the same as GSF's??? (LC500 is 400 lbs heavier)

Again, that's the gear ratio. At 2000rpm, GSF is 78.6mph and LC500 is 84.4mph. So, LC500 should be even more tame or slow on highway...

I also check LC500 convertible which is 200lbs heavier than regular LC500. The highway MPG of LC500 convertible is 25 which is even better LC500 and GSF's!!! Again, At 2000rpm, LC500 convertible is 97mph!!!
Time passes so fast...

My daughter just told me her 2010 M35X reached 80K miles!!! Since last summer she didn't report any other issue except changing rear brake pads and oil & filters. (Knock on wood!!!)

When we gave 2010 M35X, my wife car to her about 3 year ago, its mileage was only 55K miles. Then, I wonder how long it would take to reach 100K but now, it's over 80K. It seems my daughter drives it a bit more than my wife did... That's actually a good thing as my wife didn't drive that car much. (My wife's office is only 4 mile away!!!) Someone has to drive that car more...
Since my son has been driving his new car 2024 Accord Hybrid for almost two months, today I asked him a question...

"Do you feel more comfortable in that new Accord?"(His previous ride was 2007 G35S with PSS10 suspension) Guess what... He said "NO!!!" (I asked him the same question at least THREE TIMES... The answer was always the same which was "NO!!!")

Is PSS10 too comfortable or his new Accord too harsh???

PS: The settings for that PSS10 was 6/4 if I remember it right... (10:stiffest and 1:softest)
