2007 G35S vs 2010 M35X vs 2017 GSF

I think my GSF's brake should still be good. (Of course) I just need to apply more foot force when hard braking. If I use more foot force, it will stop quite well.(I tried it today).

Maybe it's caused by stainless steel brake lines on my G because steel brake lines will not expand but rubber lines will. So I need to use more foot force and wait a little more time to compensate the expansion in rubber brake lines, I guess.
I would like to conclude some of my thoughts...

M5 : speed, stable, comfortable
GSF : precise, light, nimble

M5 is just like a speed machine which loves speed. The higher speed the better.
GSF likes mountain roads more.

So I think that's why very few people buy GSF. GSF has high power but cannot match high speed stability from M5.

In the other hand my GSF's handling is excellent. It is very good at mountain roads. Therefore buying 86, Miata, Civic Type R, STI, or EVO would be more making sense, I think...
Now I know that my modified Maxima and G35Ss' handling are actually very good (they're just stiff) after I own 2017 GSF and tested 2016 M5. Believe it or not. About 7 years ago I drove my G35S with KW V3 on narrow mountain roads. One pickup truck kept chasing behind me closely. (I usually chase behind other cars). Then I decided to let that truck go first and after it had passed me I still could not be close to that truck.

So no matter how good your car is. The people who are not afraid to die are the fastest. (不怕死最快!?!)

By the way that driver in that truck must know that mountain road VERY WELL, I guess!?!
So my GSF is not soft at all. Actually it's stiff and stiffer than M5(not competition version. Not sure about the competition version?). I think the GSF's dampers(Sachs) are not good enough. This issue is just like my G35S. My G is also stiff even with OEM sport springs which are much softer than KW V3 and PSS10. I think putting good dampers like Koni should fix much of the problem.

So the handling in Japanese cars actually is quite good. They just lack some good damping force at higher speed to stabilize their rides. If I can put better dampers like Koni, Bilstein (A grade) or KW, Ohlins(A++ grade) to stabilize my GSF's ride at higher speed, my GSF should feel much better, I think.

PS: I think Sachs dampers are only for ordinary European cars. To compete with performance cars like M5, E63 AMG, my GSF must be paired with better dampers. I don't think M5 paired with average Sachs dampers could produce that super stable and comfortable ride on the highway. That M5 must come with super advanced dampers(specially tuned by BMW engineers and only for M5), I guess...

Thank you. You are very patient in reading my POOR English.

This is only my thoughts. They may NOT be right!?!

I LOVE cars and like to talk about cars all the time. In reality I think no one likes to hear those detailed, tiny sometimes not correct comments.

Thank you again...
I think I will try to do more test drive on high end cars such as M5, E63AMG, Porsche Panamera, GT-R in the future to make sure my previous comments are correct. Of course I will also bring my GSF to show my intention to trade-in is real.

By the way after I've told my wife my review on M5, She seems to really want to drive one to feel the differences (She wants me to rent one)...

I had tested GT-R before. I think GT-R is much more stiff which is very good on smooth race track. However, on public roads(not perfect) I still think M5 should be much more stable and better... (I never try recent softer GT-R but I think BMW's suspension is not easy to beat!?!)

In addition I guess Porsche Panamera should be M5(high speed stability) + GSF (precision). I really need to try one to find the answer...

PS: In my opinion precision on my GSF is still the best even comparing with Porsche. Precision on my GSF is just like BMW's suspension. Both are NOT easy to beat, I guess!?!
I think PSS10 on my old G35S begins to show its age now.

That's why I keep changing my European coilovers every 3 years. Now PSS10 damping ability becomes weaker and steering also become loose a little bit.

I think those European coilovers are quite good. They actually can compensate the old and somewhat loose suspension on my old G. I never try any coilovers from other area than Europe with one exception. The exception is Tokico performance shocks which was adjustable like Koni yellow but I didn't like it at all and in my opinion it's inferior. So I cannot comment any coilovers other than Europe, (Because I don't want to bet on them. I may loose my money again...)
Sorry. One more exception.

I just replaced my Wife's M35X rear dampers with KYB black GR-2. In my opinion the new KYBs are worser than OEM Tokico because I think KYBs are much more stiff but don't improve stable ride. (maybe a little bit) Those KYBs are just cheap OEM replacement and not performance shocks. So I should not ask too much on them!?!

I've also ridden on my boss's 2018 E400 4Matic several times. (He also drove quite fast!?! ) That E sedan may be more comfortable than my GSF but I definitely think my GSF is more nimble and stable when push to the limit. In my opinion that Mercedes felt more like Toyota than my GSF did!?!
