請問 infiniti FX50S

In my opinion I think those new turbo engines only have two benefits...

1. Better torque from 1500-4000 which have earlier power and better power output /good fuel economy when cursing on highway at around 2K rpm...
2. Much easier to tune to have more power. (but most of people don't do it...)

My son will come back with his G35S for Thanksgiving holiday very soon....

I will definitely drive his G again!!! (I'm kind of missing the somewhat stiff but confident feel from the PSS10 suspension in his old G... )

In addition, I will check his old G for any problems because I have NOT repaired that G since August 2017... I will check it and do some road tests again... (It's almost 13 years now!!! I don't think it is still THAT RELIABLE... )

Everything on that G still works very well....(no leak, no oil consumption, etc) Its tailpipes are still cleaner than GSF's!!!

PS : Why? GSF's tailpipes are more dirty??? Two reasons I think... One is GSF has direct injection. The other is like many Toyotas GSF may run a little bit RICH which is good for long-term engine reliability.

I just drove my son's 2007 G35S(PSS10) again... Yes. It's still VERY FUN!!! Actually it feels a little better than my GSF sometimes (because of much higher spring rates)...

Like I said before the situation the old G lost from GSF is when I really push it to near the limit(high G force). In that situation GSF feels better(more solid and accurate)...

My wife also said that during high G cornering the ride in G35S felt like a roller coaster, too. (This issue was very similar to M4) but my GSF did NOT... (I don't know how Totoya engineers make the GSF feel that good!!! I also asked my wife... She didn't know why, either... )

In addition, the damping settings on PSS10 is 6/4 now (They were 10/8 6 months ago...) Both my wife and I think the PSS10 suspension is still very comfortable... (The outside temperature was 8 degree only!!! These performance dampers usually become stiffer when cold...)

So I expect the new Ohlins suspension will be VERY GOOD in my GSF even though the spring rates from Ohlins would at least 2 times more stiffer than stock springs...

But, those much stiffer springs would give me lightning-fast immediate response!!!

The below are the answers I got from Ohlins retailer...

Q: Do you know how much spring rates from GS F stock suspension are? How much difference spring rates between this coilover and stock suspension?
A: The spring rates do not correlate in the back, since we are changing the pickup point and moving the spring out further. The front is almost 2-3x the factory spring, but that allows the spring to do more work and the damper to do less. This means it will response faster and be less harsh since the Ohlins shock has superior high-speed damping.

I drove my son's G35S on highway again...

The G35S (near 200k kms ) still felt a bit faster than 2010 M35X(over 80k kms)... So I think my son's G's engine is still in the top condition.... (It still doesn't want to slow down even though its mileage is already quite high now and much higher than M!!!)

Even though I turn much softer on my son's G's PSS10 suspension, I believe it still feels more sporty than any European cars except those performance models like M, AMG, Porsche...

I think the OEM suspension form G is already very good... But, if you install some "best of the world" performance suspension, it will feel almost as sporty as M4...

So you don't need to spend a lot of money (buying those expensive and unreliable performance cars) and still can get similar fun...
