2010 M35

Before I never understood why some steering was different from the others. However, recently I think I finally figure out why???

I think there are TWO different setups for steering. One is giving you more feel when you turn the steering wheel which including the centering feel. This addition steering feel would give better control when cruising on highway. The other one, I think, car makers try to give you as direct or clear as possible. So, they may not give those additional feel but give you as clear or direct or precise as possible which is good during cornering. So, each has pros and cons. Which one is better depends on your preference!!!

I think Toyota/Lexus, Nissan/Infiniti should be the first one and Honda/Acura should be the second one. How about Mazda??? Actually, I'm not really sure. 1998 MX-6 gave me more steering feel than 1992 Civic and 2009 Mazda 6 gave me very direct steering, just like the very sporty first generation TLX I tested in 2019!!! Then, Miata(ND) gave me excellent steering feel on the highway which could be THE BEST steering of my entire life!!! (However, at cornering I still believe F car is the best!!!) Anyway. But, I think one thing I pretty sure is Mazda definitely deserves that ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM slogan.

I may ask why I don't buy Mazda now. The reason is... I think the engine longevity from Mazda is not as good as Toyota, Honda and Nissan. (Yes. Mazda is very reliable but just not as good as Toyota, Honda and Nissan!!!)

Like I said before... NOTHING is perfect. All depend on what you want, what you like and what you prefer!!!

Today I drove M35...

Believe it or not... A very old Corolla 1.8 tried to race with me on highway??? Not sure why? Of course, I was not like the driver of that aggressive Corolla who intentionally raced the engine, as my M was already at the slowest gear, the 5th gear. Sorry! M just run that fast BY NATURE!!!

Of course, I was again so surprised how fast the very old M could go on highway, even at the slowest gear, feeling like a superman...
Then, when I back to home, I found this... All four exhaust pipes were WET like the below!!! Now, I understand why those exhaust pipes were so clean, as they could be washed automatically every time the car was driven!!!

(I bet the exhaust pipes are even cleaner than the body of the car, as we rarely wash the car!!!)

Actually, in my opinion, Nissan is not always a Nissan.

Maxima is not a Nissan but an entry level Infiniti on FWD platform. Z is not a Nissan, either but an infiniti without luxury upgrade.

Similarly, Toyota is not always a Toyota... GR Yaris/Corolla is not a Toyota and Civic Type R is not a Honda, either!!!

However, no matter Infiniti, Lexus or Acura, their technologies are all from their mother companies Nissan/Toyota/Honda. So, you definitely can still call Infiniti as Nissan... Just, Infiniti is definitely NOT an ordinary Nissan anymore!!!
So, I think that's why the new Prelude is so expensive, as it's not a Honda but an Acura, instead!!!

In 2000, the fastest Accord was a 3.0 V6 200hp. Guess what... 2000 Prelude was also 200hp. Now, in 2025, the fastest Accord is a hybrid with 195hp So, 2026 Prelude with only 200hp is completely acceptable!!! (Just 2000 Prelude was 200hp. Now, 2025, Prelude is STILL 200hp. This doesn't seem right!!!)

Honda really needs to think about the current market in the real world!!! 200hp with that MSRP is really NO COMPARISON in the current market, even though it's actually an Acura, not Honda!!!

(So, please be noted that NOT all the Nissans/Toyotas/Hondas are created equally!!!)

In 2000,

Integra MSRP...
LS (Base): Around $19,755 (Hatchback) - $20,555 (Sedan)
GS (Mid-Range): Around $21,405 (Hatchback) - $21,955 (Sedan)
GS-R (Sport): Around $22,655 (Hatchback) - $22,955 (Sedan)
Type R (Performance): Around $24,805 (Hatchback)

Prelude MSRP...
2-Door STD Coupe: Around $23,915.
2-Door Type SH Coupe: Around $26,415 (or $26,000 for manual).

In 2025,
Integra MSRP...
Integra (Base): Approximately $34,195
Integra A-Spec®: $36,195 (CVT)
Integra A-Spec® with Technology Package: $39,195 (available with both CVT and 6-speed manual)
Integra Type S: $54,095 (6-speed manual)

Prelude MSRP...
The starting MSRP at $42,000.

So, the MSRP for Prelude is completely reasonable... Just the 200hp is definitely not enough for me!!! (So, a long time ago, Prelude was already very expensive!!! You may need to think about why it's so expensive!!!)
Today I drove my F...

Of course, I also checked its tailor pipes like M35 after drive!!! Guess what??? NO WATER??? But, I did saw some white smoke from the pipes. That's it. All its four tailor pipes were completely dry!!! No sure why???

Anyway. At least, the MPG of F is a bit better than M!!! Again, like I said... NO ONE IS PERFECT!!!
