2007 G35S vs 2010 M35X vs 2017 GSF

However sometimes strong steering feel is not always a good thing. For example my GSF steering is lighter. So my wife said in long trips her arms didn't feel sore in GSF but did feel sore in her M35X even when M35X was new. I also agree...

Nevertheless I still prefer MORE steering feel in my GSF when driving really fast.

But one thing I'm sure is "GSF steering is more accurate and better". It's just a little bit light for my taste...
Of course just like my old G I can install Ohlins coilover on my GSF to bring its steering to perfect tight. But I will not do it now until we take our GSF to visit many interesting and also far away places in USA. I also believe like all my previous Nissans(G35 & Maxima) GSF will be very reliable even though I put very stiff suspension on it. (I also heard that RR Racing turbo kit was also reliable on GSF but I would not go that far.)

Here I would like to share my story from my wife colleague. My wife colleague just bought two identical E300 for her husband and herself one years ago. Guess what? Every time they have a long trip, they just rent another Mercedes. You know why? Because they already knew "long trips will kill their new Mercedes"... (But not for my Toyota )

I finally get used to GSF suspension and more enjoy driving it now.

My old G suspension is quite stiff. Now its Bilstein shocks are FULL stiff. (last week I just turned 1 more click to FULL STIFF) I think those European performance shocks are very fun but they only last for three years. (They don't leak oil but just their damping performance degrade a lot every year!!!)

I think GSF is very good. Just my old G is too good to be true... (I think most of people will NOT believe that my OLD G is almost as fun as my GSF!!!) I also don't expect my OLD G can be that good. Before I planed to sell it when it's 10 year old because it's just a cheap used car and I also always drove it FAST!!!

Yes. I'm a Taiwanese.

I don't have a Chinese keyboard. Sorry to let you read my poor English.

I really think GSF steering actually is very good.

GSF steering is light but it provides more solid, stable, clear messages(weighted feel).

In my G35S the steering is heavy but it delivers less solid, clear, sometimes fake messages(weighted feel).

I think GSF unit body is VERY STIFF and much stiffer than my old G. (Of course G is very old now and much cheaper even when new!)

GSF : Like use "thick wood stick" to stir a mud.
G35S : Like use "thin plastic ruler" to stir a mud.

I think old G's steering is still good. It's just not as good(solid) as much newer GSF...
Speaking about steering I would like to provide some more my experiences.

I had tested Altima and Muraro about 7 years ago, their steering feels were totally different from my G's but Maxima did have similar steering feeling as my G.

No sure about recent Altimas and Muraros? I have to test them to find out...
OK. Now Let's talk about brake.

I really think my G and M's brakes are still good. Right. My GSF's brake is better but not much. Considering GSF's Brembo 6/4 big brakes, I'm a little bit disappointed. I think GSF's big brake should be very good on track. (You can use it again and again without over heat)

96-0 brake test from Motortrend:
GT-R 100 feet
GSF 105 feet
G35S 110 feet
M35X 115 feet
FX35 127 feet

But in daily drive the brake distance is more important. Based on the above test results GSF brake is not much better. I agree. Based on my 1.5 year and 15k km ownership with GSF, I think GSF brake is not that good as its look.
You may ask "What is the best feature I like most in GSF?"
Guess what? It's "ENGINE SOUND" I think. Every time I past a slow car, the whole process totally becomes a joy. Its handling is very good but its engine sound is so much better than my old G and M... (VQ35HR engine also sounds good but I have to admit Yamaha V8 engine sounds so much better and better than GT-R...)

G/M : sound good
GSF : sound wonderful
