Insomnium屬於偏中等曲速的旋死，很多riff都有民謠色彩，吉他也不是從頭破音到尾，整體營造出的氣氛還有一絲毀滅金屬的味道。
In the Hall of Awaiting
歌詞屬於芬蘭旋死團常用的對於黑夜（外頭困境、內心牽掛）的描繪，
不過寫到最後，就像專輯封面那樣：無盡漫夜終將過去，並見到黎明的晨曦（重生、解脫）。
用10分鐘的長度去堆積氣氛，整首聽來就很有感覺。
