you are right that the notation of a wide gammut LCD(184HT03-001) is not really correct. Standard displays have a noticeable smaller color space than sRGB, so newer displays that offer an sRGB color space were called wide gammut by us (in comparison to the default displays). Still we provide the color diagrams for advanced users to see the actual amount of colors that can be displayed. We only had two laptops in our reviews that actually were able to display more colors than sRGB (e.g. the Dell XPS 16 with RGB backlight).
However, we should not use the phrase Wide Gammut for these panels in the future - thanks for your input.
