Below is a guide to help you understand what we require from you to clear your order for dispatch. We have been advised by the leading banks’ merchant services to implement extra security measures due to high levels of internet fraud in relation to the products we sell. If this is your first time purchasing high value goods from Clove Technology then you must complete our internal security procedures please before we can ship your order (this is stated on our website under ‘International Customers Frequently Asked Questions’). Even though payment has been taken and the money has left your account, these security checks still need to be completed. Please read carefully and select either option A OR option B:
A) If the delivery address is the same as the registered card holder’s address then we usually only require a scanned copy (a photo is also acceptable ) of some identification ( preferably driving licence, but we do accept passports ). We understand that you may wish to conceal some personal information (for example your date of birth) and this is acceptable. However, even if you have completed option A you may be asked to complete option B as well before we can ship your order (this is quite rare). This is because some background security checks (which you/we have little control over) may fail or may not be completed for a particular reason (often due to problems with inter-bank communication). B) If the delivery address is NOT the same as the registered card holder’s address then we require you to contact your bank/card issuer by telephone and obtain what is called “ the authorisation or transaction code ”. Only Clove Technology and your bank/card issuer can see this code. Please note, the code will NOT normally be visible in your online banking - you can usually only obtain it by speaking to your bank/card issuer . Once obtained, please confirm it to us via email, fax or telephone.
The authorisation/transaction code is normally a 6 digit code and is unique to your Clove Technology transaction. Please see the example to your right (highlighted in red). As you can see, the code is displayed on the receipt you are given when purchasing from a store or shop.

You will then need to provide us with the full 15 digit card number (we can only see the last 4 digits) so that we can verify the delivery address with American Express. Please ensure that you have asked American Express to register the delivery address on your card details before providing us with the card number. Why does Clove Technology ask for these details? At Clove Technology we sell the latest and greatest in mobile technology, we therefore deal with high value orders and are a target for fraudulent activity. We have to be vigilant, especially when we are receiving orders from new customers. We are advised by our merchant banking services to use these methods as they are considered the fastest and most secure options available to us. This is a process we ask all new customers to adhere to. If you provide the requested security information for your first order, this will mean that all future orders should normally be processed without asking for any further details.
