This article explains how to enable Push Notification on Hacktivated iphones.
(Push Notification is the popup alert service from apple, *not* Push Mail from Exchange.)
Read only if your iphone comes from a country with carrier lock (eg. AT&T).
Therefore, we won't be able to "activate" it through iTunes.

Yes, pwnage tools and Blacksn0w RC3 does "hacktiviation" for us.

However, any hacktivated iphone cannot watch YouTube and use Push Notification.
Why? These services require client "certificates" to login.

Normally, "certificates" are generated by apple server during the "activating" process.
And stored in /private/var/keychains/Keychain-2.db, sqlite table "cert".

Hacktivated iphones must obtain these two certs from other method.
Method 1. If you can get an AT&T SIM card (deads are okay), insert it during activation process.
Yes, I have tested activating my AT&T iPhone with a dead AT&T SIM card.
And all certifications are generated successfully.
Method 2. Borrow the certs from another device, and ipod or iphone with push notify enabled.
Use SQLite utility to copy their cert to your iphone.
Youtube is always fine. But using other's push notification cert means you will receive his notifications!
So you must restore and re-activiate the doner device (to get new cert for it) to prevent messed up.

(Dev-Team's MuscleNerd has released nimble/inject tool for cert migration. Not working on my 3.1.2. )
