Alex here from SoundFocus. I want to thank you again for pre-ordering AMP. We are excited that so many people share our vision and have joined us on our mission to make the world hear better.
You have been waiting patiently for your AMP and I wanted to give you an update on our progress. Let me start with the hard news first. I’m sorry to announce we have to push back our ship date due to a few last minute engineering changes and longer than expected lead times in lining up key vendors. We will begin shipping our first units this October. Moving forward, you will get monthly updates on our progress.
On a positive note, this extra time also means that we can make you a better product! We are happy to announce the following improvements:
• Three Speakers - We have added one more audio driver to enable an even better combination of added bass and volume within AMP’s small form factor
• Improved Microphone Array - We now have a dedicated microphone processor that enables greater separation of voice from noise for enhanced phone calling especially when hands free
We have also been working closely with Apple as an MFi partner over the past year. We are looking forward to announcing some additional new features in the coming months. Moving forward we will be making regular updates to keep you in the loop. If you missed our last one, check it out here.
We are confident about our new ship date and have been working hard everyday to deliver AMP into your hands. We are on our way to delivering game-changing mobile audio in the form of AMP. That said, if October is too long to wait, we will honor your refund request. As a pre-order customer, you can also change which AMP model you want (iPhone 5/5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus) up until we collect shipping addresses in the Fall.
