補充：找到一個，接近我過去看到的說法。
至於Hotel California本身，可能真有這麼一個地方，不過是精神病院。進得去，但很少能出來，歌詞剛好也有類似的描述。
或許，只是或許，當初寫這首歌時，可能是參考了精神病院和吸毒者這兩個元素，寫出了一個描寫吸毒者在精神病院(或勒戒所)進入狂亂狀態的隱喻性神怪故事。

說實在的，這是我頭一次聽到這種說法。
但話說回來，不管這首歌背後的真正意義是啥，這首歌真的很棒，根本是經典。Hell Freezes Over的現場演唱會是我常常拿出來觀賞的DVD之一，這首真的是高潮。

不用想太多，另一種說法是，歌詞裡面的那個獵物或野獸，其實是人自己心裡的野性或心魔，裡面說的一切，其實是頹廢的心裡的黑暗面而已！
