I wonder if someone can share his/her recent experience of obtaining US Immigrant Visa in Taipei ATI?
Q:
1) Did AIT take your finger prints?
2) After the interview, did they issue the immigrant visa to you on the same day?
3) I heard they would mail the visa to you via local carrier, how long did you have to wait before you received the visa?

A:
1) Yes. AIT will keep your finger print when you apply US VISA.
2) No. They will mail it to your home or office, depends on your address on the application form.
3) I got it at the next day, but some of my friends got it after 2 or 3 days.

Thank you for your reply. for (1), once AIT took your finger prints, did it require additional days for processing your immigrant visa?
my concern is since the finger prints would be taken during the interview, would it cause any delay on the issuing the visa?
Do/Did you live in Taipei?

Even you have kept your finger prints in AIT, they still request you to keep finger prints again when you pass custom in the airport. Maybe AIT doesn't share their finger prints database with custom.
And, yes, I live in Taipei. I applied US VISA last year and I think the procedure is not changed during these days.
