OP (original poster,即版主、樓主的意思), if you really want to be good at English, get some American movie or sitcom DVDs and watch them with Chinese subtitle for the first time just to understand what they are saying. Watch them again with English subtitle to see how the sentences are structured and what the characters would say under what circumstances. It's probably a good idea to print the dialogue on paper and read them several times. Once you get a good understanding of the sentences, watch the DVD again, but with eyes closed, just to listen the characters speak. Since now you know the sentences word by word, you can focus on your listening skill to get used to the tone and pick out words in the dialogue. Keep repeating this process and you can have a good grasp of English, or any language, for that matter.
It still takes time, but I think it's better than spending money on 補習班 and more fun, and you can do it at home in front of your computer at your will.
But this doesn't work with sitcoms/movies of a country that you don't like, like India... (at least I can't)
