BTW, I've watched It's a good documentary.
I've spent 3 years in Mainland China and tasted: (sorting from north to south)
炸醬麵 in Beijing; NG (worse than 維力炸醬麵) 3. 狗不理包子 in Tianjin; NG (worse than ChiMei) 4. 牛肉泡饃 in Xi'an; NG (I don't like to eat mutton so that I chose beef one.) 6. 蟹殼黃 in WuXi or Suzhou; NG (胡椒餅 is much better.) 7. 醬排骨 in WuXi; NG (kinda sweet) 8. 嘉興肉粽 in Zhejiang; NG (I hate fat meat & water-boiling rice dumbling.) 9. 熱乾面 in Wuhan; NG (very spicy and salty) (擔仔面 is greater.) 10. 豆皮 in Wuhan; NG (豆皮 is topping and beneath it is 油飯 or 米糕.) 11. 重慶火鍋 in Chonqing (小天鵝); NG (full of spicy oil) (鼎王 is wonderful.) 12. 龍抄手 in Chengdu; NG (Taiwanese 紅油炒手 is much better.) 13. 桂林米粉 in Guilin; NG (I don't like 米粉 in soup.) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------------Not in its original place-------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 14. 西藏青稞酒/酥油茶 in Jiuzhaigou (a Tibetan B&B); acceptable (the former is like 梅酒, and the latter tasted like 麵茶). 15. 蘭州拉麵; acceptable (I'm still in favor of Taiwanese 牛肉麵.) 17. 山西刀削麵; acceptable (the same with no.16.)
