Singer Gummy has finally made her comeback after 2 years!
Her new mini album has been released on the 30th of April and her title track as well as other tracks from her album are conquering the music charts. Currently, her title track "As a man" is number 1 on mnet, and Dorisak. Her other song "Because of You" is also climbing up and is number 2 on cyworld while "There is no love" is ranked 10th in Melon, "what should i do" is also climbing up on the top 10 on music charts.
That is a total of Four songs from her mini album that are on the top spot's in online music charts. Her comeback has been much awaited and despite a lot of competitions, her album is still well received by fans.
YG Entertainment said that her songs are quite different from the typical mainstream songs in Kpop. "There is no love" and "as a man" are shows gummy's transformation and "because of you" and "What should i do" are more traditional in sound, a ballad and a mix of RnB. They wanted a new look for Gummy and a new style to match her new songs. Her songs are different from the typical popular songs in Kpop.
Meanwhile, After two years of hiatus, She will have her first comeback performance on the 8th of May in MBC Music Core.
