以前在義大利的 TIFFANY 店內也是有類似的事情。
那間商店 一樓為珠寶鑽石高價類，二樓為銀飾品~
一走進店內，店員就跟你說：你要的東西在二樓喔......
索性直接找另一個店員，刷個四十萬台幣。(代人購買的啦)

你的英文真的不行，隨便再挑一段又是錯誤一大堆，這樣 TOEFL 能考幾分？
In the U.S, if someone pays cash for expensive items, people will think that the person must NOT be rich. 這句話你前後兩句的主詞都是 people 的話，在英文中變成語意衝突了，這是中文才可以出現的用法，你是中翻英嗎？還有 item 的複數呢？昂貴物品只有一樣嗎？就算你真的只有指一樣，你的 an or the 到哪裡去了？
Why? because he can only spend as much as the cash with him. On the other hand, if he has credit cards, he can spend a lot more. 這句也是，你沒有養成複數的習慣嘛！
總結，你的英文還是停留在中翻英，很多英語的習慣都還沒有養成，我看你的書寫習慣就知道你大概口語還是單複數不分、動詞頻頻出錯，一副中式英語的樣子吧？
....所以放輕鬆點吧,要挑肯定是挑不完的:D
