各位大大,小弟最近留意到一個B&W的喇叭,不知道是否值得買下去 (這不在台灣的市場,絕無廣告意圖).
一位賣家正想出售: B&W 802F Series 80 Floorstanding Speakers
據說是保養很好,並且,小弟是可以直接去取貨的.
以下有幾點想了解:
(1) 賣家說woofers dust covers因為朋友的孩子戳了,所以換新了,樣子顏色不一樣.他說這不會影響音質,請問正確嗎?
(2) 小弟目前只有Marantz PM7001擴大機,目前搭配B&W685.短期內應該是換不了擴大機.這台能先頂著用嗎? 會不會燒掉機子呢(不會故意開很大聲的話)?
(3) 賣家要價$1700~1800紐幣,大約等同於台幣$40000~43200
(4)這喇叭雖是很舊的款,但如果保養的確很好的話,聲音跟新出的喇叭比較會是如何呢?
整體來說,這樣值得嗎? 優缺點各為如何呢? 謝謝~

802的弟弟803M當初水貨新品55K，哥哥801M新品10W出頭
802實售價多少應該很好推算，目前售價約當初新品的5折左右
但這喇叭年紀少則15年多則20年以上
(音響器材用越久性能越衰退，喇叭還是影響比較少的，但電阻電容還是會衰退的)
若以台灣二手商的價格來比，當然是便宜
台灣很多個人二手商的價格實在很可笑，反正新品價格漲得離譜，
老機二手品也跟著沾光，更不要用現在B&W 802的價格來比。
像我們知道一些老器材當初新品成交價的，當然不會去買
we used to have a pair of 801 Series 2. after around 15 years of usage, the rubber surround on woofer is starting to fail. some capacitors in the crossover need to be replaced.
for your money, u can looking for a Matrix 803 series 3, or N804. personally, i think they are better buy in the long run.

大大謝謝您,小弟已經買到了~!! 喇叭沒有改過,原汁原味~ 一開始高音單體有狀況,賣家非常負責,直接把兩支喇叭送到當地Hi-fi shop去修,只是一條接線掉了,店家焊回去並測試後,完全沒問題.現在小弟聽這喇叭,只能說以小弟較低的耳朵水準來講,聲音真的是好的沒話說~! 解析度是685完全比不上的,音場寬闊,層次分明~!! 低音就更不用說了,沉的下去,輕輕鬆鬆~! 已經開始要購入較大理石,來墊在下面,不然直接放地毯上實在是很.... 現在是用薄的石板加魔豆墊撐著用,聲音明顯乾脆很多~
下一個階段就是把我的PM7001換掉~ 現在頂著用囉~ 慢慢找品質好的二手~

Thanks for the advise, and true, totally agree with you - they are good speakers and even 802F Series 80 sounds fantastic and impressed me (based on the fact that I am still a newbie to Hi-Fi). Therefore, I presume that if it was Series 2, series 3, or N800 series, it would sound even better than what has impressed me. Really envy you having such good speakers to enjoy....
Unfortunately, Series 80 was the only model available on a second hand auction website called TradeMe in New Zealand. Well, so far so good, that's probably the best and affordable one I could find.
I am just wondering that if it is convenient to you, could you please do a quick comparison or review for the series you mentioned (S2, S3, and N800 vs. S80)- in terms of sound quality, performance, and even price on second hand market? I am looking forward to your further response, and hopefully can learn more from you guys. Cheers.
*One extra question:
Is my 802F Series 80 one of "Matrix models"?? Never mind, since I am not really familiar with B&W's models and/or series, I even do not know what production line my speakers "belong to".

Matrix 800 series has 3 generations,
first is Series 80 (the one you got) which is the first "modern" speaker in speaker history. the biggest difference is the "twicking control" behind the mid woofer. you can turn up/down the tweeter/woofer output. however, that was degrading the sound quality. (most people bypass that) the tweeter is the weekest link in series 80. it can only go up to around 16K Hz or something.
Series2 of Matrix 801 is the first speaker to reproduce 20 to 20KHz. B&w use computer and lazer to optimize the orginal speaker. this is a big improvement over previous one.
