I'd like to access the service menu. The technicians that have visited my house won't tell me the code, and I haven't been able to copy their finger movements correctly or find it on the web.
They will be coming again soon to bring my third panel. Every one has stuck/dead pixels and nothing less than perfect is acceptable. If anyone knows the service menu code, please post it here.
Thanks.
You should check for stuck pixels in a dark room by changing the input to one without a signal and closely examining the screen for red, blue or green dots. My first unit had four stuck pixels. The second has none.
You can use the attached program to search for dead pixels with your PC. The program will display solid screens of color. In a dark room closely examine the screen for pixels which don't light up with the selected color. Sometimes a pixel will display certain colors, but not all. Make sure to use full screen mode, because it will 1:1 pixel map by default, so you won't be testing 3 vertical rows of pixels on each side if you are using an ATI card. I think nVidia cards will do 1366x768 though. My first unit had two dead pixels, and my second unit also had two dead pixels.
BenQ was supposed to deliver my third unit today, but obviously couldn't due to the typhoon. They promised to check the display for problematic pixels before delivery, so hopefully this one is perfect. I'll try my best to steal the service menu code from them when they check the new screen.
I know most users won't use translation software if they can't read English, but I'm used to it. I always use Systran to translate the Chinese. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done. ;)

I think I may wait for Sony XSRDs or 1080p DLPs to arrive in Taiwan before making another purchase.
