簡單來說就是蘋果不爽被 Google 抽成，所以在更新最新版 Apple TV app 時把 購買/租借 影片 (原 iTunes 服務) 及訂閱 Apple TV+ (這應該很少人訂閱) 的功能給移除掉了。 但在目前非 Google TV / Android TV 上的 Apple TV app 並不受影響。
如果需要 購買/租借 影片在 Google TV / Android TV 上觀看，則需要在蘋果裝置或 Windows 上裝 iTunes 後。完成 購買/租借 影片的手續，再到 Google TV / Android TV 上透過 Apple TV app 觀看。
