True HD is being decoded as DD 5.1 and DTS HD MASTER ..as DTS surround! That is back to beginning! I am seeing more problems than resolution.
YOUTUBE..HD ..YES! 2 CHANNEL< looks fabulous!

WDTV Live doesn't bitstream DTS-MA. I tried it with my Onkyo TX-SR607 Receiver and it only shows DTS. I am thinking of returning this and get C-200 which can bitstream DTS-MA.

Yes you are right, DTS-MA is detected as DTS.
還有個WD TV mini
規格比兩個大哥跛腳
但是卻支援RMVB
真是太優秀了

WDTV Live [WDTV2]
The successor to the highly successful WDTV. Similar to the original in interface and external design. Uses the new and powerful Sigma 8655 chipset with Ethernet network capability, HDMI 1.3, DTS downmixing, Dolby TrueHD pass-through, DTS MA pass-through (core only), and a component output.
The WDTV Live launched on 10-Oct with limited availability via Best Buy superstores in the USA. Availability since then has been patchy, with only limited stock from a select few retailers. The best bet at present if you're in the USA is still Best Buy, who have maintained online availability throughout. Stock outside of the US has been more patchy, with Amazon UK now only having stock through third parties at inflated prices (Amazon UK). We will keep the Places To Buy section of this site updated daily.
Specifications are broadly in line with those leaked in August, so similar to the original WDTV but with with DTS downmixing and Ethernet. The big surprise is that the chipset used is the new Sigma 8655, which has never been seen before. It is brand new and has significantly improved performance over both the old WDTV and other Media Players. Tests have shown the WDTV Live to be capable of playing very high reframe video files that no other Media Player is powerful enough to cope with. It is also capable of DTS MA and Dolby TrueHD pass-through. The user interface is similar to the old WDTV and, whilst not stunning, is a big improvement over the Realtek players.
It's too early to give a definitive judgement but the WDTV Live looks like being a significant step forward at a very affordable price. Just in time for Christmas. Perhaps we'll forgive the messy launch.
