The only TV that have the same if not better PQ comparing to Sharp and Sony is Samsung.
But 95D series also have clouding issue.
The new series LN-TXX65F and LN-TXX61F both have great PQ even you put it side by side to the XBR series. (I have seen it in CC and BB)
LN-T4061F is 17XX with free shipping on Amazon. It has all the inputs that you will ever need it.
Anyway, this is only my own opinion (along with other hundres of new happy samsung LCD TV owners). This is the TV to go. So you won't have to worry about banding and clouding because you will see them and get pissed about it.

除了62U沒DVI外，contrast ratio也只有1200:1...
42D62U是Sharp外包別的廠代工的...72U是Sharp自己生產的...
不要因為便宜了幾十塊美金就買62U...
BTW, 買Sharp的LCD HDTV要小心banding的問題...好像蠻常見的...

PS: 我最近也在物色1500~1700 USD的1080p LCD HDTV...可能會買Sharp 42D72U吧，除非Olevia 742i可以在我決定買之前出現...
