2017 GSF

In addition, again almost all the reviewers said RCF was TOO HEAVY...

Now new M4's weight is about the same as RCF's... Again, those comments sound nonsense and stupid now!!! (Lexus was actually ahead of their time)

NOVEL Racing is one of famous racing companies in Japan. Like many other racing companies in Japan, the dampers for their suspensions are actually from European companies such as Sachs, AST, Ohlins, etc.

NSX is not as practical than GT-R but compared with this Ferrari, NSX is still very practical...

Some reviewers said GT-R was stupid fast!!! If GT-R is really stupid fast, then I think this Ferrari should be IDIOT fast!!!

Have you ever thought about why German cars become so unreliable these days??? (They were good 30 years ago)

In my opinion, that's because the competition from Japan. Japan build more solid cars. However, building solid cars is not easy. It takes a lot of time and patient. So, Japan was slow and there was some gap between German and Japan 30 years ago.

Now, as auto industry is mature the gap becomes much closer and Japan still makes more solid cars. So, to survive (not be like SAAB or Volvo) German auto companies have to adopt new technologies as fast as they can. However, new technologies could be risky and unreliable...

If you exclude Japanese cars, German cars are still the best in the world but these days German cars could be less reliable than some other inferior cars... (due to the competition from Japan)

The below is my testing data for my 2017 GSF and 2018 M4 competition. I think the results should be accurate.

(T/C was on)
--------------- 0-60 ---------- 20-60 -------- Max Acceleration
GSF ------ 4.93 ----------- 3.33 ------------ 0.69G
M4 --------- 5.01 ----------- 3.57 ------------ 0.7G

Actually M4's tires got a little better grips than GSF's... (0.7G vs 0.69G) But, M4 was slower before 60mph...

The below is my son's 2007 G35S...(tested in 2017 and about 150K kms)

(T/C was on)
--------------- 0-60 ---------- 20-60 -------- Max Acceleration
G35S ------ 5.07 ----------- 3.49 ------------ 0.68G
M4 --------- 5.01 ----------- 3.57 ------------ 0.7G

Actually G35S's tires were much smaller and less grips 245 RE001 vs 285 PSS(0.68G vs 0.7G) but from 20-60 mph G35S was faster surprisingly!!!

Please also be noted that M4's gas tank was about 80% full and G35S's and GSF's were almost empty...

The below is Infiniti loaner(rental) car 2018 Q60(300hp, 70% full gas tank). This should be about as fast as Q50 300GT...

(T/C was on)
--------------- 0-60 ---------- 20-60 -------- Max Acceleration
Q60 -------- 5.28 ----------- 3.63 ------------ 0.64G
M4 --------- 5.01 ----------- 3.57 ------------ 0.7G

This Q60 lacked proper grip because of its smaller all season tires (0.64G vs 0.7G).

If it gets some grippy summer tires such as RE001 or better, the number should be even closer to that M4!!!

The below is my wife's 2010 M35X...(tested in 2021 and about 90K kms)

(T/C was on)
0-60 20-60 Max Acceleration
M35X 5.83 4.27 0.78G

M35X is much slower, of course due to its heavy weight. But, did you find something strange??? That's max acceleration G. Its max acceleration G was the highest even with less grippy all season tires...

That's because it has AWD!!! (Maybe it's the fastest car I ever tested but only for the first 0.5 second)

The below is another Infiniti loaner(rental) car 2014 Q50(3.7 330hp, almost full gas tank) tested in 2014.

(T/C was on)
0-60 20-60 Max Acceleration
Q50 5.67 3.90 0.62G
M4 5.01 3.57 0.7G

Again, this Q50 lacked proper grip because of its much smaller 225 all season tires (0.62G vs 0.7G).

If it gets some grippy summer tires such as RE001 or better, the number should be much closer to that M4!!!

The below is three tests for my GSF in 2018 and 2020

------------ 2018 test ------ 2020 test
0-10 ----- 0.85 ------------ 0.92 0.92
10-20 --- 0.75 ------------ 0.72 0.78
20-30 --- 0.68 ------------ 0.78 0.89
30-40 --- 0.77 ------------ 0.92 0.95
40-50 --- 0.92 ------------ 0.95 0.91
50-60 --- 0.96 ------------ 0.96 0.96
Max G -- 0.69 ----------- 0.65 0.65

You can see the 2020 tests were much slower than 2018 tests due to degraded OEM PSS tires...

To get better times I have to put newer or more sticky tires for my GSF. This car really has good power... Even though it already reaches 60 km/h, its rear tires still could not get enough traction!!!

I think that's why when I tested 2016 M5... The road was totally dry. The steering wheel was totally straight. The speed was already over 60km/h. Then, I FLOORED it... OMG! It still drifted!!!
