Do you mean the 2013 Volvo 5 cylinder has two turbo or are you referring to the 2014 engine 4 cyclinder having two turbo?
There is some so called "turbo lag" but in my opinion, it is due to non-linear behaviour of the current or I should say, older 6 speed Geartronics.
In driving mountain road, in order to allow the transmission to catch up with throttle input, I recommend you can try either in ECO or Elegant mode.
IN performance mode, the engine is always reacting faster than the transmission, that is based on my own opinion. Not 100% correct but just a piece of unsolicited advice. Perhaps you can try.
Regardless of what many people said, I personally believe Volvo had done something, though very subtle, on engine management between the three mode.
I stand behind my own opinion.
