Hi, my father in law is considering to get a new car.
I love Subaru and would like to recommend him outback.
He likes to drive around Taiwan so I think Subaru Outback is perfect for him.
He lives in New Taipei City and I want to find some good sales for him.
I would also want to know the price range for Outback 2.5 and 3.5.
Please let me know if you guys have any info.
Sorry I can't type Chinese because I am at work now.
Thanks!!!

father in "low" or father in law ?
哪裡有SUBARU全車系的定價資訊?
Subaru does not have a good brand image in Taiwan, regardless how good / safe or highly rated it is!
Therefore, older generations tend NOT to like Subies!
You might wanna check with him on where in Taiwan he normally drives as the Outback is long! If he lives in New Taipei City, I assume he has his own parking space at home and if not, it's gonna be a pain in the bum looking for a parking space on the street or in alleys with a car that size!
However, if he does decide to purchase a Subie ........ I know you can knock off a fair bit of the retail prices (ballpark figure: 80 grand or so).
Good luck with your car shopping ........
I am juggling between the Legacy(Liberty) GT Wagon and Forester XT.
The price of Subaru is very hard to provide satisfy discount.
If you are genuinely buying, make sure you let the Sales staff know.
But do shop around, I'd let my fingers do the walking when I found out about the 80 grand discount (granted that it was for a 2010 registered vehicle).
The Sales staff did tell me that for 2011 vehicles, I am looking at lesser of a discount (40~60 grand)!
Getting a few quotes here and there will be your bargaining chip!!
Subies in Taiwan definitely don't fit in this category!!
They do offer superb safety, performance and handling but the interior is just SHOCKING!!!
For example, the Legacy GT Wagon costs approx. 1.5 Mil ..... it offers only the very basic in-dash CD changer. There is no reverse radar detectors or GPS and it would have only cost Motor Image (the importer for Subies in Taiwan) approx. 5 grand (1/300th the cost of the car) to make the car more "complete".
In my mind, Subies in Taiwan are really for people who have a specific taste in cars.
Which brings us back to the initial question, is a Subie what your Father-in-Law would like to drive in Taiwan?
