Hi!
We are planning to rent a Giant bike at Sinchu City, go through the coastal route (61), then to Taichung City and then to Nantou, Sun Moon Lake. We have 4 days. Any suggestions as far as the route? We are all beginners. We can ride about 40 km a day. Thank you! It is ok to reply in Chinese. I can read but cannot type.

It is about 100 km from HsinChu to Taichung ,and another 100more Km from Taichung to Puli of NanTou County...then 20-30 Km from Puli up to Sun_moon lake. If you are a "New rider", I don't think it is a good idea to ride this way...
Since, from HsinChu to Taichung through 61th Highway, there are no much thing you can see beside "ride"..... I suggest you use mass transpotation system like train or bus from HsinChu to Taichung, then rent a bike from Giant to Nantou.you can call Giant Hsinchu to arrange it..
From Taichung to Nantou Puli and Sun_moon Lake you can enjoy of real Taiwan Country view between mountains , if you like Photo shooting...here is a good place to show you power..
here,I will like to mention: in the Chinese New year vacation period the traffic in Nantou will become very busy. safety will be an issue..and Hotel reservation is another problem you need to arrange well before you start.....
