I was simplizing my opinions. Yes, Your comment is correct, but it is more for pros and semi-pros. For amateurs or beginners, it may take several ridings or time to figure out all those paramenters you mentioned after they bought a bike or borrowed one. Some of the parameters can be measured only by equipment, but most of us, just by our "feeling" and "confort."

I was focusing on the selection of a right frame per the question asked, not on the adjustment or minor components like stems or seat post or crank... These components are way cheaper than the cost of the frame. Your comment is more toward theory than realitic or common practice. Even though we can find two identical persons in sizes of height, arm length, leg length, ..., you name it, the final adjustment to the components (seat post, stem, crank, ....) will still be different. It is because no persons grew the same way internally and physically, e.g., muscle strength, size, length, ... So, it may take quite a while to sense or feel the right setting by ourself.

I rode several years and still have not figured out a perfect setting because I don't know the discomfort from riding is coming from the adjustment or my physical strength. So, I still adjust the components from time to time to "try" to find a proper setting. I guess it will be my life experience to find a good one. Anyway, thanks for your comment, wish we all have good and comfortable rides.

主動觀點:
轉動一定角度,龍頭長則回轉半徑長,騎士的手需位移較多。

被動觀點:
當輪受到側向力(this is a fucking sloppy physical statement made for peons, haha),如撞到石頭,或反應抽車時的回復力,龍頭會隨之轉動。當此力大小一定時,長龍頭反應到騎士手上的力會較小(力臂長)。

因此,龍頭長則遲鈍(穩),短則敏銳(不穩)。

用「差」或「不差」,「好」或「壞」去描述容易給人錯誤印象。

我說的是過短會影響操控...,並未說過低不會影響操控

一般公路車配9~10cm的龍頭,過長過短都不宜,否則你換成3cm以下的龍頭試試.....會飛常恐怖的

很多小折都是沒有龍頭的,龍頭的靈敏度非常高,高速下碰到坑洞或彈跳路面時摔車的機會很大

我會這樣說是因為我試過

以往比賽時我用cinelli solido 11cm龍頭

但我為了實驗,在同一個車架零件輪祖上換成cinelli solido 12cm龍頭

我個人的感受長龍頭比較靈敏也相對不穩,特別是抽車時(不管是上坡還是平路衝刺)


另外,遇到路面坑洞以及抽車,我的龍頭轉動幅度極小

難道你們不是這樣?

以路面障礙來說,早在30m前就該反應,來不及反應就龍頭擺正直接輾過去,這不是常識嗎?

以抽車來說,轉龍頭不是很不穩嗎?擺車就好了,幹麼多浪費力氣

公路車就算用3cm龍頭, 也還有彎把8cm reach, 還是超過10cm
下坡車龍頭就只有5cm, 把手還是後掠的, 照你的講法下坡車下坡都用牽的就好啦

另外, 你有提到"物理"對嗎?
你只考慮到轉動"長度與角度"的問題(把手位移量一樣的話, 用長龍頭轉動的角度比較小)
那有沒有考慮到"力矩"的問題? 用長龍頭轉動的力臂是不是更長, 所以轉動需要的力量更小?

I have tried a 60 cm frame (top tube 57.6cm) with a 11 cm stem (Ritchey WCS 4-Axis) and a 62cm (tb 58.9cm) with 11/12 cm ones. I **FELT** exactly the opposite as you did. To be meticulous, the trail of these 2 framesets was different, yet the same set of stems was used.

If a 11 cm stem suits you, I am happy for you and won't argue it. I replied because your statements were wrong, not how you feel it.

haha, you are talking about a perfectly idealized swing in textbook.
請aqua兄仔細觀察一下實際上的「擺車」,再告訴弟龍頭會不會因為前輪為回復偏擺而轉動。go figure.
