What kind of bicycle ist he right one for you? A sporty road bike or a versatile «Cross»-model? A featherweight «Trekking Light»-bike or a robust, hassle- and maintenance-free citybike? One first criterium is your position on the bike.
Athletic position: Are speed and acceleration of paramount importance to you? Thanks to an aerodynamic position you defy the head wind, and by pulling on the handlebar you maximize the power you put to the pedals. Be ready to get addicted to speed, as this position is something for the athletically ambitious. The best way to live it up is on one of the «Race Feeling»-serie's top models.
Active position: Bent forwards slightly and with your nose in the head wind, you try to dive under the latter. The fact that a part of your body weight is supported by the bike's handlebar means stable handling at high speed and an efficient power transfer to the pedals. If this well-balanced mix of efficiency and function in everyday use is to your likes, an entry-level road bike from the «Race Feeling»-series or one of the «Sport Light»-serie's top models might suit your needs perfectly.
Dynamic position: You want to get ahead efficiently, but you also want to keep an eye on the traffic or the landscape's sights with no contorsions? Then the dynamic position as found on the «Sport Light»- and «Premium Activity»-models might be just right for you. As your weight is evenly distributed between saddle and handlebar, you can also start to a cyclotourist journey of multiple days - or simply get to work in no time.
TUpright position: If you're not riding your bike every day, you will be glad about the upright position. Mounting and dismounting is significantly easier, and you always keep your eyes on the traffic - or on the landscape on your way to your trip's destination. While this upright position might not be the best choice for long distances, it offers a lot of comfort and safety on short rides, especially within the town limits - as Wheeler's «Classic Performance»-, «Urban Chic»- and «Crossover Comfort»-series show.
