The steering of the 523i is uncannily light, unlike any BMW I have driven before, something that made me uneasy. I came out of the BMW thinking that it is a first-rate luxury cruiser, but is certainly no sports saloon, let alone sports car. It just didn’t engage me as much as I would like as the driver really feels detached from the road.
