Seagate SATA II 送修回來變成 SATA I ~慘~

事情是這樣的
去年五月買了一顆
Maxtor MaXLine III 7V250F0 7V300F0企業級硬碟 (SATAII 7200RPM 16MB 原廠五年保固)
一直用的都很愉快 過年前後突然發生整台電腦 卡住 就是死當然後電腦畫面停住
重開機 就有時抓的到 有時抓不到這顆硬碟了
在上星期就突發奇想 用工具掃一下
( 之前有WD的經驗 ,先掃過應該就知道原因,之前WD也換過一顆)
一掃....Bingo....Diagnostic CODE : dda29873
雖然我不知道這個代號是啥意思 不過 程式要我立即更換硬碟

之後就參考之前Seagate 的硬碟更換流程
( 因為 Maxtor 被Seagate買掉了阿)
就填一填RMA
上上星期一 中午去台北市內湖區的郵局寄到桃園 蘆竹 的UPS 轉運站
之中一直追蹤RMA number的情況

到了上星期一 終於看到 它把我硬碟寄還給我了
上星期二一到公司就收到了 真是太好了

果然包的很好 完整的包裝
拆開外箱 拿出來 還沒拆開靜電袋 看到竟然變成了 7L320S0 320GB
心想~~哈哈~~~300GB回去變成 320GB回來....心中一陣暗爽
腦袋一閃 先查一下保固到多久 是不是跟原來的一樣
到了網站 key 一 key序號.....
嚇~~~~怎麼~~~~只到 Expiration 17-Jun-2007
我去年才買的阿~~~ 之前查的保固日期是到 Expiration 09-Jul-2011
怎麼差那麼多 ......

仔細一看 唉~~~怎麼~~~速度~~~變成 SATA 150......
我買的是 SATA 3.0Gb -----> SATA150
速度變一半~

應該是 RAM人員 把我這顆當成舊款的SATA I
就給我一顆320GB 然後 保固只到 17-Jun-2007

馬上上網寫信給客服~~以下是內容
"I send a RMA number 100000xxx0 , my original HD 3.5' series number is V60Dxxxx , Model is 7V300F0 300GB SATA 3.0Gb HDD , but RMA back is series number is L628xxxx , Model is 7L320S0 320HB SATA 150 HDD , the speed from SATA 3.0Gb down to SATA 150 , why ? I need SATA 3.0Gb speed for my computer use , please check it , Thanks"

上星期二馬上回信~~~~哈哈~~~~

過了三天還是不理我 我又寄信過去
結果還要我等 等到今天還在等 真是的

怎沒找Maxtor代理商處理呢??
這讓我想到沒幾天前的一篇文章
"Seagate 120GB 送修回來變成 200GB了!"
好像隱約這在訴說些甚麼東西似的...
因為這顆是水貨 不是跟代理商買的
是友站有專門幫忙從日本買電腦用品的人幫忙買的
所以沒辦法送代理商的

因為就是看到120G 換回來變200G
為什麼我的SATA II 換回來變 SATA I
差太多了吧
下文
它要我把SATA 150 的寄回去
結果 它又寄了一次來
還是 SATA 150

我發信去問Seagate
他的回信是

Hello,

I have verified that the drive we sent you (both times) is a MaxLine III
320GB Serial ATA 2 (3Gbps) drive. How have you determined that this drive
is only SATA 1? You may need to check the jumpers on the back of the drive,
and make sure that it is set for SATA II operation instead of SATA 1
operation.
