The tournament is set to start on October 21st. Organizers expect NPB players to show up
The 2010 Intercontinental Cup will be played from October 21 to 31 in Chinese Taipei. Games will be hosted at the Taichung Intercontinental stadium and at the Douliou baseball stadium.
An official announcement on teams participating will be made at a later date, but the tournament is expected to display a high level of play, since it is played at the end of Minor League competition in America. Chances are that players from the japanese Big Leagues (NPB) will play.
This may be the last edition of a tournament that opened in 1973 in Italy.
