由於第7局洋基打線延長太久後，Wang上場投球的熱身不夠，投完第1個出局數後，他的下背部有點緊，Posada先發現後，上前詢問，投手教練Guidry與Torre亦開始緊張起來，遂將Wang換下，當然王建民在冰敷後，是說沒啥問題的....(Chien-Ming Wang: His lower back got tight during the long bottom of the seventh inning.
