那種薪資在我看來，是要有逆轉或追分能力的人才值得擁有
Jordan有沒有逆轉能力?我想無人否認。有沒有追分能力?只要對手派兩個防守他，就給了隊友很大空檔。
大蘇，也是一樣的道理。就算他起跑在十幾順位，遇到對手故意關門，一樣能追到前三。
這就是他們的價值。
A-Rod呢?他能在球隊被打滿壘全壘打後，也敲個2~3分全壘打嗎?為自己的隊伍創造追分或是逆轉的奇蹟嗎?
很難。因為，棒球這個運動型態的關係。對手只要用保送，就可以讓他這種威脅消失，而且，他還需要隊友的協助，才有可能創造一分以上的打點，不是光光他能打全壘打就好了。棒球更注重團隊。
運動員本身靠的不是由球隊拿到的薪水
最主要的還是周邊商品／廣告代言，而有這些代言，就是必須讓你的隊伍有個"朝代"的連霸產生
大蘇跟Jordan還有Tiger都是這樣才拼到運動員收入的頂級
洋基球團很瞭這點，所以才會說，如果ARod回到自由球員身份，那就不會去競價了
ARod的經紀人也明瞭這點，所以才會故意開個天價，一方面探試對洋基的底限，另一方面，創造記者寫題材的話題。以免，ARod在季後賽的新聞中消失。
簡而言之，如果沒有戰積，就靠八卦。至少維持某個新聞性存在。

It depends on how you define Salary.
I define player's salary by their "cap value",
which for the most of the time this would equal to their total salary.
As you can see,
Peyton have 1 mil of base salary, about 9 mil of the so called "other bonus"
this makes his value about 10mil.
But for some reason, I always thought he made like 16mil for playing on the field.
excluding the "I like this guy, he's really good" commercial income.
However, I don't think the information of NFL player salary are that open.(or it might be my own problem....)

Well, based on espn analysts, a-rod is not worth 30m+ just on field play, but boras is saying the tv revenue that a-rod brought in makes a-rod worth the money....so, depends on how you see it
