It had nothing to do with the umpire or anybody or anything else.
It was the fact that I felt my shoulder begin to tighten up,
and I did not want to hurt myself to the point where I could not pitch like I did last year.
So, I was just thinking about my shoulder and not wanting to hurt it anymore than it already was.
