※ Paris–Nice 是一場自1933年起在法國舉行的多日賽，被暱稱為 "The Race to the Sun"，
因為比賽於3月上旬從位於法國北部的首都巴黎地區開始，那時的氣候仍舊寒冷，之後賽程一路向南，
最終迎向 春天的陽光 ，抵達風光明媚、位於法國東南角的 Côte d'Azur ( 亦即"Coast of Azure" / 蔚藍海岸 ) ( 見 French Riviera) 地區的 Nice ( Alpes-Maritimes département 首府，位於 The Alps 山腳下，並瀕臨地中海 / The Mediterranean Sea )。

--- 這項比賽由 ASO ( Amaury Sport Organisation ) ( 隸屬於法國媒體集團 EPA / Éditions Philippe Amaury ) 舉辦，ASO 也主辦法國其他多數的 World Tour 賽事，包括 Tour de France 以及 Paris-Roubaix。
--- 在 Paris–Nice 過往76屆的賽史中，愛爾蘭人 Seán Kelly 創下了連贏七次 GC 1 (1982 ～ 1988) 的超狂紀錄。
