It's Koen DE KORT (114)'s birthday today. "As a gift, I'd like a stage win by John DEGENKOLB (115). That would be great. I don't know if he surprised himself yesterday, but he surprised all of us. If we manage to place him right, he has a chance. He's amazing. He struggled in the time trial but he's on his way back where he wanted to be on GC. He's not like the other team leaders. He stays with us in the evening chatting and having a coffee. He's a great guy, not only a great cyclist. Not being in French team is also the best thing for him to develop as he's racing his first Grand Tour for GC at the Vuelta and not at the Tour de France where he could have been burned."
