BD is BD, DVD is DVD, they are not the same, BD does not play with DVD drive, so if you rented any BD that plays in DVD drive, then it is not BD. However, some HD-DVD plays with DVD drive because they are have dual format.

Do you mean DVD movie or all the DVDs?
PS3 has Blu-ray Drive, and also can update PS3 software, put in files
using a DVD.
Or what you want to say is: BD doesn't play on DVD drive?

感謝兩位前輩分享資訊喔，我比較好奇還是
會不會有人賣BD，但是裡面的品質卻只是DVD，那不就很好笑了。

所以我才問，我們光碟盒後面不是都有那些基本資料嗎，但是我看一堆賣家都沒有把它列出來。

我擔心的是：花了那樣多的錢確實買到BD片，但是內容卻是DVD的品質。

I see what you mean. Well, all the official BD will list the resolution, I have not seen any that doesn't.

However, in China where I go for business trips, there are many pirated DVDs with BD packaging. But they are easy to spot because it is very obvious the packaging are just simple copy jobs from a printer, and they don't even come in a box.
