1. It is a Japanese model, meaning it is "DVD" region 2. Taiwain is "DVd" region 3. Therefore this model will not play any DVDs u buy from taiwan.
2. As far as i know, you can not change DVD region code in PS3 slim.
AS for Bluray...taiwan , japan , american are all region A ( so there is no problem there)
I have a PS3 fat US model ( can not watch Dvds from taiwan
)If this come in a taiwanese model, i am for sure getting it
