I've been wondering this myself since my downloads through the PS3 are so slow, its not even worth attempting to do it unless I want to leave my system turned on all night.
None of my other devices have this problem on my network, so if it possible i can be able to download some of this stuff using my computer, put it on my 2GB SD memory card and then transfer it to my PS3 through its card reader.

When you are talking about downloading a file sizing from 80MB to 1GB, you can calculate for yourself the time needed to do the download...

The frustrating thing, in fact, is that you can do nothing, but wait,... wait,..., and only wait for it to complete!

I downloaded two playable demos (4xxMB and 8xxMB) and really took me over an hour for the latter to complete. Downloading game or BD movie trails are easier, usually done between 10-20 minutes. Not bad.
Mine connection is via WiFi. Maybe a direct connection can boost up the things.
umm... next upgrade of PS3 should be: allowing the game console continuing with games while downloading. I heard this is now possible on XBox360...

That's is what i want to ask. because my connection at home is so slow. So i have to bring my PS3 to work place to download the demo and etc. So if i can download it to my laptop at work then transter it to PS3 at home. It would be great because PS3 is so heavy. Thanks a lot.
