the one thing i don't understand is how they charge for service.
the labor cost is extremely low... and parts are extremely high.. although the total may be the same (or more expensive) but why they charge that way??
for example, in the US. the labor cost is high (or more reasonable) but the parts are much cheaper.
a normal 6 cylender cars to do an oil service in the US. the labor is about $40 to $50. (i think it is reasonable, since they quote half hour for the service. an hourly rate is usually around $80 to $100 in the US)
bmw factory oil is only $5.50 per bottle. oil filter is like $10. plus some fluid... an service is around $80 to $100.
however, in Taiwan, the labor cost is like $200 Taiwan dollars?? but a bottle oil is like $500 to 700 Taiwan dollars. and oil filter for $1200 Taiwan dollars??
why they don't just lower the price on parts to "normal" and raise the service charge. so people won't need to search online for cheap oil.. and let's be honest, who knows those online oil come from!
