然而，全新亮相的BMW 3系列在外型上與以往的主要差異就是車頭鈑件與頭燈，而這個看似較新的設計語彙，在巴黎一亮相之後，的確有不少人覺得有Peugeot的味道。
水箱護罩旁的鈑件形成向上延伸的弧度，並有個小凹口延伸到頭燈內部，是這一代Peugeot幾乎所有車系的家族設計語彙，Peugeot車主暱稱為「獅牙」。
比較直率的車評還露骨地講”it has stolen Peugeot's headlights”， “Very Peugeot 3008”….。
