After a about a week or so, I noticed the hesitation was back again, and decided to go back to my dealer who already insisted to me the first time that it was normal. This time I insisted that he try it at a U-turn in high traffic. Sure enough he did and he really new what I was talking about. He just could not get the instant response he was expecting when trying to accelerate into traffic. (The delay is not noticeable unless you really need it)
So, he took the car in, and checked it by a computer. He found that it requires a SW (software) update (to the controller or control unit - i think). So nothing mechanical. It took 2 days.
I got the car back last week, and the accelerator's been very smooth ever since. The response is as it should be.
So, If your car still hesitates or jerks at 0-10 mph... take it to the dealer and get the SW update to kill this problem the right way.
