Something riders need to understand, is that lane splitting is not illegal because it endangers people in cars, it's illegal because people in cars are just as irresponsible (if not more), and around 5,000 riders die because of that every year in the US

What happens if your lane splitting and as you pass a car it changes lanes? Who's at fault?

it would depend on the situation. if the bike was splitting in a safe manner (low speed with plenty of time to react) and the car changes lanes without warning causing a collision it is the car's fault. if the bike was charging down on almost still traffic between lanes and hits a lane changing car, then it would most likely be the motorcycles fault.

no matter the way u look at it no matter the way think land splitting not safe it just dumb and yes it you who put your safety at risk not only you going in to the car blind spot it only be safe and just cause you ride motorbike don't mean you above the law drive safe but i don't give room for lane splitting ,but if you lane split and get in wreak then it your fault

answer me this, why does the California Highway Patrol encourage lane splitting? there are no rules being broken, and motorcycles are in more danger of getting hurt than the car driver. roads are meant to be shared, it doesn't belong to cars exclusively so stfu
