說一句不重聽的話...

樓主的朋友應該是個有錢的留學生, 樓主不必為了他擔憂

為什麼?

我在美國住了 6 年多, 從來沒有聽過一個買車前不問保險多少的人...

如果有, 應該是兩種人o 一是太有錢了, 買車前已經不用顧慮到保險費問題o 二是天兵或是沒有任何買車經驗o 小弟那時才 19 歲, 剛要買第一輛車前, 就是為了保險費而屈就 1995 Ford Mustang.

I mean, it is really a common sense. 當你要走進一家 Car Dealer 時, 你就要考慮到很多問題, 不止有單單新車 payment 的問題, 車保養費, 加油費, 最重要的, 保險費... 等等o 如果新車要是那麼好買, 那我所有認識的 25 歲以下早就全買新車了o

So, the conclusion is .... he/she deserves it. I would rather drive a used car, and spend money on something else...

以樓主朋友的條件，最好是先委屈點屈就二手車﹝其實經銷商的二手車也沒啥大問題好擔心﹞，撐個幾年的駕駛經歷再說。
只是台灣出來的，只怕沒有哪個的父母嚥得下這口氣讓孩子去買二手車？ orz

買車前不知道要先問保險......這真的是給他有點誇張到說.....

題外話，我朋友年近四十在台灣有多年無肇事紀錄，新來乍到，在安大略考到G1牌﹝通過筆試﹞，竟然有State Farms的agent肯給他保，這真正跌破我的眼鏡，先前我幫他問過幾家都沒願意保G1的。他買的二手RX300後來保到兩千加幣左右的樣子，已經不能再嫌了，真的。

真的貴耶我也是mazdaspeed 3 半年 520 駕照拿不到半年不過到用了一堆方案 good driver , multiple car anti-theft gruop antilock brakes superior ,carpool ,deductible $1000

小弟最高紀錄
一年 USD 7500 全險..
那年出了個車禍..
變成 USD 15800 全險..

後來就換到 Progressive..
目前低很多了..

Well, your insurance cost depends on your driving records. If you have none, then it will be expensive. If you have a lot of tickets, DUI or other records that are deem dangerous driver on the road, not only the insurance company, the state will make sure you will stay off the road. All these depend on what type of car you drive as well. A civic is considered a "rice rocket" in Cali. Not sure everywhere else. However, if you have a Jetta VR6 the price of your insurance will be less than the civic because the "riceier" it is, the more it will be due the age and the "prestige or image" that goes with the car. This is just a probability game in the states. There are a lot of choices in the States to choose from as far as cars go. Choose one wisely~

這倒是真的...買車前一定要先去quote一下保費多少...
現在這麼多free online quote...填一填根本花不了15分鐘..Even caveman can do it.
