Well, you are talking about now, but it was a fact that Ferrari needed Fiat's support otherwise it would have gone bankrupted.
p.s. at one time in the 1960s, it was Ford that almost bought half of Ferrari company. Italian government asked Fiat to step in, otherwise, the Ferrari you know today might have never existed.
