...there is a possibility the torque converter in the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) could fail. Under certain conditions this could result in a loss of motive power. Loss of motive power while driving at higher speeds could increase the risk of crash.
For all involved vehicles, Toyota dealers will replace the Direct Shift-CVT with a new one containing a new torque converter not affected by this issue at no cost to customers. Toyota is currently obtaining parts. Owners of all involved vehicles will receive direct notification via first-class mail by mid-February...

Toyota Australia在12月19日宣布召回2640輛生產期間介於2018年8～9月，搭載2.0升汽引擎的Corolla（也就是Auris），主因是因為其CVT變速箱的扭力轉換器葉輪葉片的瑕疵，有可能脫落導致扭力轉換器的損壞而使變速箱突然失去動力，相關零件的更換作業預計從明年初開始，工時則大約需要十個小時。
