A Prius 3 or the Prius Plug-in ?

在美14個州已開放網路預購 2012 Prius Plug-in 之際, 相信在未來也會引進來台, 先不論其售價如何, 消費者要選 Prius 3 or 等等那 Prius Plug-in ?
個人建議:
1.如果行車距離大多是短距離 ex 10~15 mils (16~24km), 又有方便充電地點 ex 車庫 or 充電站, 也有3-4小時的充電時間 (110V), 那麼 Prius plug in 是非常適合
2.如果行車距離大多遠大於15 mils, 又沒方便充電地點或足夠3小時駐車充電, 那麼Prius Plug-in就不太合適

ps 如果您是第一狀況,也想購買Prius Plug-in, 因其充電電流須12Amp(110V)如圖, 建議要有專屬插座及專屬配電盤15Amp開關, 若有其他電器共用, 則須改用繼電器20Amp以上較好 (去年我原本的15Amp
開關 就是這樣故障的)

很想了解充電費用如何計算

如果充4小時約5.28度大約要20元
不知能跑多少距離
如果不外加充電
純靠本身油電系統
不知一公升可以跑多少公里

這問題實在很難簡單回答,連Toyota 2010年示範版(3KWH)時FAQ (http://priuschat.com/news/prius-plug-in-hybrid-vehicle-phv-faq-sheet)內也如此回答

How will plugging in the Prius PHV at home affect the electric bill?
<The PHV draws approximately one kilowatt per hour and takes approximately three hours to charge. The effect on the bill also will be determined by how often the vehicle is charged. Since electricity rates vary greatly depending on location and utility company, Toyota cannot determine an exact cost.>

但果不考慮plug-in相關成本, 只討論充電效益, 則可考慮2項主要影響因子:
1 溫度 :太低溫 ex <20 F 或 太高溫 >110 F, 大幅降低鋰電池效能
2 車速及扭力: 高車速or高扭力 ex >90 km/hr or 上坡, 造成大電流輸出, 也會大幅降低電池額定容量( rated capacity) ex 2012 3月要在美上市的Plug-in Prius 為4.4KWH, 若定時速60km/hr 可EV 15miles , 若時速100km/hr, 則剩10 miles

我們可考慮最理想狀態: 一次充電循環 可EV 15miles ( 24km)

至於要充多少度電?

2012 Prius plug-in 一次充電循環大約3度電( 充電器效率91%, SOC 20% to 80%)
而2012 Prius plug-in 公佈之 hybrid mode 油耗是20.8KM/L (車身較重 油耗較非plug-in版略高)

由此可估算單一次充電成本 EV24km 3度電 vs 1.154L 汽油

小弟這台solar plug-in 目前是1.3KWH NiH(P2)+ 4.2KWH LiFePo4+ 264W solar cells
有4hr太陽時 EV mode 40KM 4.5度電, 沒太陽時 則EV 36km 4.5度電 vs hybrid mode 22km/L油



下周購買的美製1.05KWH電池會到, 有機會再與大家分享

"價格又比DIY貴上1.5倍"-->想請教:如果P3要改裝PLUG-IN 的功能,所有材料費大概是多少呢?(有大概的材料清單嗎?)另外工資有辦法估嗎?

因為充滿一次大概台幣10元,可以讓我跑個20公里,實在是太吸引我了,這樣平日上班不用浪費汽油。假日長程又相當省油(約4L/100KM),真的就不是只有環保口號!而是省超大!!
當然,我不冀望馬上就有這些材料(也可能找不到技師)。只要已經有"量產的套件",隨著時間會越來越成熟,價格也會越來越合理,我就看得到"未來"。

It's hard to tell the exact cost and detail list, in general about USD2500 for PHEV, solar panels and accessories about AUD 2650, USD 200 and RMB 1200, whole customs and Tax about NTD 15000. All the other material (connector,resistance,diode,fuse, fans...) about < NTD 6000.
Besides, the all necessary tools ( Kill-A watts, DVM, wrench ...) about NTD6000.

ps The extra 1.05KWH battery from USA will arrive next week: USD 300+ tax NTD1000

It's a very hard work to complete the installation by myself. Many difficulties must be overcome with patience and physical endurance. The most difficult points is Taiwan customs. To those who are interested in prius solar plug-in, my suggestion is waiting the import from Toyota. It's the most easy way.

Please don't ask more questions since I Do Not have too much free time.

I have updated the more accurate costs of each item. Because of too many electronic components and specifications ( > 200 items), it's impossible to list them here. I'm sorry that I can't help you!
Triplet hybrid system was successfully tested.

As the 12V 150AH deep cycle battery (DOD 75%) was arrived from USA and it's step up regulator ( efficency 80%) was arrived from China this week. I connected it with 10A fuse and diode to my solar PHEV system and it was successfully tested. The electric capability was increased extra 1KWH (12x150x0.8x0.75 = 1KWH), ie pure EV drive was increased about 8km.

Here is the pic of the triplet hybird system: 12V battery, 92V solar cells regulator and 56V LiFeSO4 batteries.

ps.
The total cost of this new DIY 12V system < 400 USD is cheaper than DIY LiFePO4 batteries about 500 USD/ 1KWH.
and the Toyota claims it's cost of PHEV is 1200 USD/ 1KWH
