Hi all, once again, hoping to share with all of you my experience with my Honda CRV 5 Silver VTI-S after one week of driving. I hope you guys don't mind reading in English but my Chinese typing is too slow and horrible. Your feedback in Chinese is welcome!
1. CRV-5 is huge! This car gives me a impression of standing tall, wide and spacious. It is agile though. Very easy to drive - I did not install rear radar and I found the rear facing camera to be precise, sufficient and wonderfully bright - much better than my Volvo V60
2. I opted to downgrade my sport rim to the entry level VTI instead of VTI-S I am old fashioned but I like the style much better! This is personal taste.
3. CRV suspension is one bright spot. The whole car is well dampened, nicely balanced, absorbed well of the roughness (I drive in Zhongli area where road surface is horrible) The wind noise is acceptable, and wheel noise is also acceptable, maybe it is new but definitely impressive so far.
4. CRV engine is another bright spot. Quiet and smooth at city driving. When accelerating hard, yes, you must use the paddle shift to down shift. Noise is still ok (it is a turbo engine afterall!)
5. One thing I like a lot which I did not know is that the GPS can be set to link to the dashboard for viewing! This is really nice! Hifi sound is ok by today's standard but most of the sound is delivered to the front, so the sound stage can be improved further. Auto-hold is nice and I really appreciate that. One thing about the GPS is that it will not accept input by hand only in Chinese Zhu Yin! I did not know that but I struggled with my poor Chinese Zhu Yin and managed. Don't understand why they don't accept handwriting input since the screen is touch screen!
I did not add a lot of accessories but the original 3M suncreen around the car plus the Honda recommended front screen protector are more than sufficient! I got both of them free from my dealer. If you have any specific question, welcome to PM me. Be happy to help! Thanks for reading.
