Basically, prices for Accord, Forester, and Passat are similiar in US. Don't know why a $1300k Forester is applauded by everyone but a similiar price Accord is seriously critized about its price, don't even need to discuss Passat here. Considering the quality and maintenance, I will pick Accord over Forester or Passat at any given day. (恕刪)
People here gripes about 9g accord with unreasonable high MSRP, which is due to the fact that in the states Forester 2.0XT premium is even more pricey than Accord EX by 3-4 grands but instead Forester is sold by the comparable price (just my image, no accurate number) as opposed to Accord in Taiwan.

I might be wrong but I thought the 2.4 VTi-S Exclusive in Taiwan is equal to EX-L in US instead of EX (EX doesn't include leather seat, front heated seat w/ power adjustment, CVT, lane warning and collision warning) If I compare Accord EX-L to Forester XT Premium, both MSRP start at $28k range. Thanks..No offense!!
1. 9g Accord EX in Taiwan does not hook up with LDW and FCW features as EX-L does in the states, only Lane watch. ( this is what to be more than criticized most in terms of safety viewpoints)
2. all trims in Taiwan get rid of TMPS.
3. EX in the states also offers CVT, not only 6MT.
4. EX trim level in Taiwan costs 1.45 million NTD vs 1.38M for Forester XTP. (MSRP)
5. interior-wise, regarding entertainments and amenities I didn't make a fair comparison btw EX and EXL here. Sorry for the misleading.
