After Tierra/Life wades off the market in two months, what other lines can fill up the blank? FLH is endangered! The mainstream 4D sedan segment is predominated by Camry, leaving slim chance for the next-gen 4D mondeo. FLH is doomed if it doesn't avoid this confrontation. Instead, FLH should look to niche markets. Wagon or hatchback models might be the right answers. An MIT wagon for some NT$800K, or an import for NT$990K, which is fun to drive and euro-stylish can certainly grab a market share. Given some time, the 5D mondeo may prove quality-enhanced and convince consumers again that Ford is not so bad. Then, Ford can see some chance. Only when Ford car owners are pleased with the reliability, can the reborn reputation bring up the 4D mondeo market potential. So the right timing for presenting new Mondeo is------5D first, then 4D!!!
